Located just a couple minutes from the falls, overlooking the Niagara Gorge, is the Niagara Falls Bird Kingdom. This 4 story aviary offers a unique experience where visitors interact with hundreds of birds and reptiles freely roaming the complex.

The Bird Kingdom features an enormous 50,000 square foot multi-story tropical rainforest that has to be seen to believe. Upon entering the rainforest your attention will quickly turn to the towering 40 foot waterfall located at the rear of the aviary. The waterfall is the centerpiece of a room that houses over 400 free flying birds, representing 80 tropical species found throughout the world. The birds are free flying, making close encounters with these beautiful birds very likely.

The Bird Kingdom also features the 'Reptile Encounter Zone'. Consisting mostly of aquariums and terrariums, the Reptile Encounter Zone allows visitors to experience some of the worlds more interesting reptiles first hand. You will also notice spiders and scorpions taking up residence in various areas of the room as well. If you're feeling adventurous, there is a photo opportunity with a large 100 pound python, however no pictures are allowed.

Finally, the Bird Kingdom features the 'Nocturnal Zone'. These dark corridors feature some of the world's most interesting nocturnal animals including bats, bird eating spiders, and roaches.
